Look at what the girls did today! We are SO proud of them. It was a very challenging day of artwork for them. What we planned for the morning, ended up consuming all of the day. Our team had to cut the afternoon session short at to go to town to run an errand. I asked the girls to finish up on their own and clean up the supplies. We arrived back around 7pm to 11 completed paper collage portraits that were just beyond fantastic! The girls said they were really challenged by the drawing and shapes today, but as they got near finished, they were very excited. I can tell that they are very proud of their work, as they should be:)
The relationships have been good. The girls are warming up and making friends with all of us as usual. It's been so sweet to see their personalities come through in their process as well as in their finished products. Kelly and I go to spend some time loving on the toddlers last night during their TV time before bed. It was a hoot! They were climbing all over me and I just couldn't get enough of it:) We read in our devotion today about how God brings victory to humanity. It reminded me of the big picture here at Rainbow. . . how the Lord brings redemption to these sweet children that were abandoned. How he brings them to this safe haven where they are cared for and loved and introduced to Him, and then places them in families. He brings victory to their traumatic stories. Praise God for who He is!

Keep doing the blog thing girls. It is nice not to guess how God is working. You have helped paint a picture here back at home as well. You girls are missed and loved.

Wow, how amazing! Individually the portraits are so unique, but I really love seeing them all together. The colors are so vibrant and you can tell how much hard work the girls put into them. What a complicated but rewarding project. Just goes to show you what a little hard work and dedication can accomplish regardless of the feat. How beautiful! Nice work, ladies.
